Panama promotes investment and business opportunities in Colombia

A delegation of the Authority for the Attraction of Investments and Promotion of Exports (PROPANAMA), the Embassy of Panama in Colombia and the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama (CCIAP) promoted in Bogotá, Colombia investments and business opportunities offered by the country.

 

The delegation made up of more than 60 Panamanian entrepreneurs from the logistics, real estate and real estate, construction, financial sectors, legal services, creative industries, energy, tourism and digital sectors, sought to promote Panama's investment opportunities and incentives to potential investors and senior executives from Colombia, as well as the different immigration programs for investors.

 

During this meeting, the businessmen participating in this mission had  the opportunity to meet with distinguished businessmen from the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, Colombian unions and associations such as the National Federation of Merchants (FENALCO), the National Association of Businessmen of Colombia (ANDI), Banking Association and financial entities (ASOBANCARIA), Colombian Chamber of Construction (CAMACOL), National Association of Foreign Trade (ANALDEX) and the Colombian Confederation of Chambers of Commerce (CONFECAMARAS).

 

This Open House "Connecting with Panama" was held for Colombian unions present in Bogotá, where Liliana Fernández, Ambassador of Panama in Colombia; José Ramón Icaza, president of the CCIAP; Diego Ortiz de Zevallos, Deputy Executive Director of PROPANAMA, representatives of the Ministry of Commerce and Industries (MICI), Tourism Authority of Panama, National Bank of Panama, Colon Free Zone and the closing speech was given by José Alejandro Rojas, Minister Counselor for Investments of the Strategic Secretariat for Development and Competitiveness of the Presidency of the Republic of Panama.

 

The mission met with presidents and managers of Colombian unions, where presentations were given on construction and real estate issues, which were in charge of the Panamanian Association of Real Estate Brokers and Promoters (ACOBIR), the National Migration Service, Panamanian Chamber of Construction (CAPAC), MICI, the National Council of Housing Promoters (CONVIVIENDA).

 

In the same way, an event was programmed aimed at the banking sector related to financial strength in Panama where Ambassador Fernández, the president of CCIAP, the Minister Counselor of Investment, as well as representatives of the Banking Association of Panama, will participate. National Bank of Panama and the General Directorate of Income.

 

The entrepreneurs also launched EXPOCOMER and EXPO LOGÍSTICA Panamá 2022, and signed an agreement between PROPANAMA and the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce. In addition, a new Open House "Connecting With Panama" with the Bogota Chamber of Commerce.
