Etesa proposed to invest $ 1,369 million in projects until 2033

The investment program of the state projects Empresa de Transmisión Eléctrica, S.A. (Etesa) between 2019-2033 amounts to one thousand 369 million dollars, as it appears in the expansion plan published in the Official Gazette.
As part of the procedure for approval, this plan was in public consultation at the National Public Services Authority (Asep) until February 3 of this year.
One of the main investment projects that Etesa must develop in the short term is the fourth transmission line that extends from Chiriquí Grande, Bocas del Toro to Panama.
The fourth line was tendered during the last administration under the construction, operation and transfer model (BOT), but the public act was declared void due to lack of proponents.
"We are finishing the financing model," Etesa manager Carlos Manuel Mosquera said in an interview with La Prensa newspaper. The idea is to choose a financial model that offers results and that is not financially to Etesa, indicated Mosquera.
