Panama Emerges as a Top Destination for High-Net-Worth Individuals

Panama is strengthening its position as one of the most attractive destinations for high-net-worth individuals worldwide. A recent international report highlights the country as one of the leading destinations drawing wealthy individuals, sharing this distinction in Central America with neighboring Costa Rica.

According to the study, Panama is expected to welcome approximately 300 new millionaires by the end of the year, while Costa Rica could receive around 350. This trend places both countries among the fastest-growing millionaire markets globally.

Andrew Amoils, Head of Research at New World Wealth, quoted by Bloomberg, notes that Panama and Costa Rica rank among the world’s top 10 fastest-growing markets for millionaires, driven by economic stability, quality of life, and attractive investment opportunities.

Notably, these high-net-worth individuals are not coming from Latin America, but rather from developed economies such as the United States and Canada, underscoring the region’s growing appeal as a destination for international wealth relocation.
