Tocumen Airport generated $ 66 million in 3 months

Tocumen, SA, obtained revenues of $ 66 million in the first quarter of 2019. The increase, of $ 14 million with respect to the same period of 2018, is due to the increase in the number of passengers entering and leaving, which allowed the terminal received more funds by airport tax.

Based on the data of the first quarter, the projection is that at the end of the year the state will generate $ 250 million in revenues and a net profit of $ 65 million.

Temístocles Rosas , Vice President of Administration and Finance of Tocumen, SA, commented that the estimate is that in 2019 the airport will contribute $ 20 million to the State in dividends.

Last year, the Ministry of Economy and Finance requested to Tocumen dividends for $ 50 million, and the administration refused to do so, arguing that the terminal had to face financial commitments acquired with bond issues, which total $ 1,250 million.
