The Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama (CCIAP), in a strategic alliance with the Ministry of Commerce and Industries (MICI) will carry out the 2nd. National Business Roundtable, on March 28, within the framework of EXPOCOMER 2019, with the objective of boosting Panamanian exports in the international market.
Gabriel Barletta, president of the CCIAP, highlighted "EXPOCOMER, which will be held from March 27 to 29, is the ideal platform for companies to strengthen their businesses and promote commercial exchange among the business sectors of more than 20 countries that are given appointment for four days in this exhibition, so our guild is proud to host an event of this quality and significance. "
In addition, he said that, in 2018, during the first National Business Round, an approximate US $ 4.9 million was reached in transactions between exporters and buyers with a view to 12 months.
Barletta explained that the II National Business Round to be held at a time of 9:00 a.m. at 12:00 p.m. at the La Huaca Theater of ATLAPA, will offer Panamanian exporters the opportunity to specify and expand their business contacts with international buyers participating in this multisectorial fair.
For his part, the Minister of Commerce and Industries, Néstor González, stressed that this II Business Round in the framework of EXPOCOMER strengthens the MICI's alliance with the Chamber of Commerce, and provides the opportunity for Panamanian exporters to take advantage of the platform of this event as a showcase of world trade to have appointments with international buyers. "We are optimistic and we encourage our exporters to register so that they can obtain business appointments with significant sales possibilities, and in this way bring our exportable offer to the international market," he said.

The first edition of the National Business Roundtable organized by the CCIAP and the MICI included 40 Panamanian exporters and 30 international buyers from Aruba, Belize, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, United States, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru and the Dominican Republic.
The companies, Grupo Eleta, H. Tzanetatos, Pascual Food Products, Doraz Food Industries, Vigomar, Acua Panama, Levapan Company, La Soledad Candle Factory, Merkao, Chiriquí Preserves, Panama Fruit Export, participated in these business meetings.
Among the sectors that were marketed in this first edition of the National Business Round were: food, beverages, textiles, personal care, cosmetics, technology, home, and services.
At present, the products that are being marketed in other markets are fish, shrimp, tuna, pineapple, spicy, handicrafts and fruit pulp.
