MMetro De Panama: List of Requirements for The Construction of Line 3

Metro de Panama, S.A. published on Wednesday (September 12) in the portal of Panama Compra, the Bid for Best Value for the construction project of Line 3, which will benefit the residents of West Panama. The program includes, the engineering design, construction of civil works, auxiliary line installations, stations, supply and installation of the integral system that includes monorail, as well as the start-up of the system. With the publication of these requirements of the tender act in which the prequalified companies will participate, President Juan Carlos Varela showed his satisfaction by stating that Line 3, such as the construction of the Fourth Bridge over the Panama Canal, will be two mega projects that will impact the quality of life of 500 thousand people living in Panama, who "comfortably and quickly" can move to their homes and work in a 45-minute journey.

For Phase I of operation, Line 3 will be able to meet a peak demand per hour, in the sense of 17,824 passengers by 2025, increasing to 20,667 passengers by 2050. According to the information published in Panama Compra, the tender has a reference price of B/. 175,000.02 and a delivery term of 54 months is estimate. Within the tender, the technical criterion will have 51 points / percentages and the economic proposal or price will be valid for 49 points or percentage.

The preliminary meeting and homologation has been scheduled for October 9 to 12, 2018, at 8:30 a.m. at 4:30 p.m., in the Meeting Room of the Administrative Building Building of the Patio and Workshops of the Panama Metro, located on Ascanio Villalaz Avenue in the Ancón district.

In as much, the proposals will be received in person on January 25, 2019, only from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 noon, then these proposals will be opened starting at 12:31 p.m., in the meeting room of the Panama Metro where the technical and financial proposals will be presented.

Once each of the bids has been received, an Evaluation Commission will accept a period of 30 working days to review the documentation and present its results, if possible, after an additional 20 business days.

In total, there are 7 prequalified companies to participate in the tender for Line 3 of the Metro, these are:
