Dr. Juan F Pardini is the senior partner of Pardini & Associates, a Panamanian full-practice law firm. He specializes in mining, petroleum, corporate transactions, M&As, finance, joint ventures and foreign investments.
Dr. Pardini received his Master degree in Law (LLM) at Tulane University and his Doctorate Studies at the University of Madrid. Dr. Pardini formerly practiced in the New York law firm of Thelen Reid & Priest, specializing in foreign investments and international joint ventures in Latin America.
Dr. Pardini’s mining practice is primarily focused on representing clients involved in Panama, Central and South America. Some of his transactions include a full legal structuring of the Petaquilla Project, even acting as first chairman of the consortium formed by Teck, Inmed and Adrian; the acquisition of the El Pachon project by Noranda; CIBC financings; corporate transactions by Mitsui; Junior company reverse takeovers and listings in Panama and Canadian stock markets and others.
Dr. Pardini is a former president of the American Chamber of Commerce; president of the Panama-Canada Chamber of Commerce; former president of the Council for Investment & Development of Panama; co-founder of the Japan-Panama Friendship Association; and member of the International Mining Professionals Society.
Dr. Pardini actively speaks as conferences and has written numerous articles on mining, petroleum, corporate transactions, M &A, joint ventures and foreign investments.
Dr. Pardini firm advises clients, such as Noranda, Exxon/Mobil, Newmont, Bank of America, Placer Dome, CIBC, Giuliani Partners, Mitsui, Continental Airlines, Sumitomo, FedEX, World Trade Center and others. He is also on the board of directors of several Panamanian multinational corporations.
